Our Environment

Sustainability and improving biodiversity are important drivers for us at Northumberland Nook. We want to do anything we can with our time and within our means to give back to the environment that provides for us.

Working with the Great Northumberland Forest we have already planted an orchard of fruiting trees for pollinators, and in the next planting season we will complete a regeneration project to reconnect existing tree lines by planting over 2000 trees.

A mixture of native deciduous and evergreen trees, including; Oak, Hornbeam, Hazel, Aspen, Willow, Lime, Hawthorn, Beech, Birch, Alder, Rowan and Scott's Pine - all of which will provide an amazing range of habitats for our local wildlife.
