Northumberland

The AreA

We are well positioned in the middle of Hadrian’s Wall (a World Heritage site), Belsay Hall Castle and Gardens (English Heritage), Wallington Hall (National Trust), Kielder Water, the Coquet Valley and Cheviot Hills while still being close enough to the coast for a visit to a castle or beach for a fish and chip day out.

We have numerous other offerings around us with Go Ape Matfen, High House Brewery, Matfen Hall Golf course, Wedding Venue and Spa, paint-balling, clay pigeon shooting and Capheaton and Matfen coffee shops all within a 5 mile radius. The Sunday Times describes the local historic village of Corbridge as “a little piece of northerly heaven”.

Both Corbridge and Ponteland boast excellent dining and evening fun - whilst there are a plethora of country pubs and restaurants that offer fine-dining in the local area including two Michelin Star restaurants very nearby. We are happy to provide recommendations.

Even though we are based in the heart of rural Northumberland we’re not too far from the hustle and bustle of some lovely market towns and the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. We are easily accessible by plane, train or automobile! Newcastle airport is 10 miles away, Newcastle Central Station is 15 miles away and we are around 5 miles from one of the main roads to Scotland.
